Booking Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with ArcticLumin ("we," "us"), the operator of aurora hunting tours in Murmansk, Russia, via the website murmansk-northern-lights.com or direct messenger contact. By booking a tour you accept these terms.

1. Reservations & Payment

A booking is confirmed once we have agreed on a date and you have paid a $50 deposit. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the tour date. Payment methods: bank card, bank transfer, or cash (USD and EUR accepted).

2. Cancellation by the Guest

  • More than 7 days before tour date: full deposit refund.
  • 3–7 days before: 50% of deposit refunded.
  • Less than 3 days before: deposit non-refundable.
  • No-show on tour day: no refund.

Rescheduling is free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice, subject to availability.

3. Cancellation by ArcticLumin

We reserve the right to cancel a tour if: road conditions make travel to dark-sky locations impossible and unsafe; extreme weather (storm warning) prevents safe outdoor activity; or the minimum group size is not reached (group tours only). In such cases a full refund or date change is offered.

4. Aurora (Weather) Policy

Aurora borealis is a natural phenomenon. We do not guarantee a sighting. If geomagnetic conditions are favorable but cloud cover makes aurora viewing impossible throughout the tour and we determine that no reasonable driving alternative exists, you may join a subsequent night's hunt at 50% off. This offer is at our discretion and subject to availability. No cash refund is given for a cloudy-night hunt.

5. Health & Safety

Guests participate in Arctic outdoor activity at their own risk. You are responsible for: appropriate clothing and footwear (we advise; thermal suits available), informing us of any medical conditions relevant to outdoor cold exposure, following the guide's safety instructions at all times, and holding valid travel and medical insurance for the duration of the trip.

6. Photography

We take photos of guests during tours and may use non-personally-identifying images (no faces, or with explicit written consent) in promotional materials. If you do not wish your images used, inform us before or at the start of the tour.

7. Limitation of Liability

ArcticLumin's liability is limited to the price paid for the tour. We are not responsible for: flight or transport delays or cancellations, hotel issues, loss of personal belongings, personal injury not caused by our direct negligence, or any consequential losses.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Russian Federation law. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; failing that, through competent courts in Murmansk, Russia.
