About Your Guide
Alex Rozov
Aurora guide, ArcticLumin — Murmansk, Russia
I'm Alex, the guide behind ArcticLumin. I run private and small-group aurora hunting tours out of Murmansk — reading cloud maps, solar wind data and the Kp index in real time to decide where to drive each night, rather than waiting at a fixed spot and hoping.
Murmansk sits at 69°N, directly under the auroral oval, which means the aurora is genuinely visible on a large share of clear nights through the season — no rare solar storm required. My job on a tour is simple: find the clearest sky within reach, sometimes 20 km out, sometimes 150, and get you under it.
I'm upfront that no one can guarantee a natural phenomenon — if a tour comes back with no aurora at all, you're welcome on another night's hunt at 50% off. You can reach me directly via WhatsApp, Telegram, VK or Instagram — see the links below.
